Shame /SHām/ (noun): a painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior. It is not the same as the guilt, the feeling of having done something wrong. Shame is the feeling of BEING something wrong. It is the opposite of what God says about us.
If we are only as good as our approval or disapproval, the fear of either will rule us and be our demise. When we feel shame, we hide from God, we hide from others and we avoid exposure.
This series teaches us how to be free of shame using the Biblical Truths God teaches us about who we are.
But how can people call for help if they don’t know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven’t heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it?
